That's really weird - but I've been dealing with internet explorer issues all day. It's really frustrating how Internet Explorer blatantly disregards common CSS/HTML standards that FireFox and Chrome accept.

As you know, I don't know the first thing about web pages, servers and all that other stuff you talk about, but I've never had any issues with Internet Explorer, any version. I was using IE6 when the security issues came to light and switched to Firefox (like I said above). But I never liked Firefox. It worked ok with no errors or technical issues, I just didn't like the way it managed it's favorites and stuff like that. Probably because I had used IE for so long. Now that I'm on IE8, which I understand no longer has the security issues that IE6 did. (correct?) I'm happier again. It works a little different than the old IE6 did, but not as different as Firefox is.
I also know that AOL has been bashed for years. I've been on AOL for over 10 years and have not had issues with it. Years ago, it would sign off unexpectedly, but VERY infrequently. And that has not happened in several years. Today I have no issues with AOL, or IE8 (so far, anyway).
Why do you suppose so many others have issues with both of these, and I have not? Or is it just a case of "Jumping on the Bashing bandwagon" for some?RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

I think the main thing is that you're using IE8. I haven't heard too many complaints from IE8 users. A few from Ie7 and then IE6 is just a mess. And I don't mean a mess 5 years ago - I mean right now people still using IE6 are going to have problems because it's just so outdated. It's two versions behind and in most software companies would be considered unsupported software now.Originally posted by WMCC Doug View PostWhy do you suppose so many others have issues with both of these, and I have not?
