    • That's depressing. I have done everything to my car and you've still run quicker than me with just bolt ons. You must 60' really well, because I'm up on you by almost 5 mph most times.

          My best today was a 1.68 - I averaged 1.70.

          That pass was a 1.70

Seat time and having the tune dead on has helped my car the most. I added a cutout and an UDP this last time out and it helped by .1/1mph

Thanks - I think we did

I still think there is more left in the suspension setup - I just haven't got around to messing with it. It'd be a pita to change at the track.

I'm pretty sure I saw your car the last time we went to Stanton. Hmm...wonder why I paid attention to that one?

I REALLY need new motor mounts and a trans mount before I even get on my car again because now I can see the shifter move up and down every time I take off from a dead stop. Hope I can make it back home safely this weekend. Then it gets parked for the year.

              Used to own a Firebird.

Yeah, you have almost 2 tenths on me in the 60', that makes a huge difference. Hopefully this coming year I'm not going to have to be concerned with getting into the 11's. I'm pretty convinced about building a turbo kit, so I'm hoping to bypass the 11's and go directly into the 10's.

Very nice for a bolt-on car What is your raceweight if you don't mind me asking?

I have new motor mounts to install - just haven't got around to doing it. Mine are a little loose - the shifter doesn't move yet.

I really need to get a better shifter. I think I could shift a little quicker with a billet hurst or pro 5.0

                    Yes it does.

Are you going to an auto and some 3.70 gears?

                    It's pretty much full weight.

I've only removed the air pump and front sway bar. And however much the billet specialties wheels save me.

The scale is never open at the track

I might have to make a trip to the local truck scale to see what it weights.

                    • I'll probably keep it as a stick, it's too fun to row my own gears. It'll just take time to get my combination dialed in. Not only was my engine not in the best shape, my clutch master cylinder was failing and my clutch was slipping. Just lots of teething issues with a brand new set-up.

Unless you are racing professionally or you are out every weekend at the track I'd keep it a stick. Auto cars are just boring. I'd rather drive my high 12's M6 then a mid 11's auto car.

I would rather run more consistantly and 60' better at the track than drive a stick. Sure they are fun for a street car but once you start modding they seem to have way more problems than auto cars and are more often than not considerably slower down the 1/4 (not trap speed). Then again thats why everyone has an opinion

Patrick you should also get it tuned in person and maybe a wideband too. I'm kinda afraid of mail-order tunes now. I might be around if you want help this summer though.
