Update Profiles

Alright, well for anyone that had registered with the site prior to switching to VBulletin, the plugin that I had that forced people to update their profile was causing errors because VBulletin requires birthdates when you register. Anyway, I wasn't thinking and ran and SQL command to update the birthday field in the user database thinking it'd update the people that hadn't updated that field yet, well no it didn't work. So, if everyone could please update your profiles with your birthdates and stuff, sorry for screwing it up.

How about putting in your name?!?! Everyone should at least put their first name in their profile, make it easier on everyone else. . .

I agree with Nick. It is a nice easy way to look up someones name. I like calling people by their names not their handle.

I hate having to check the introduction thread to get somebody's name. . . It's so much easier to post it in the profile, and then it's right there for everybody.

well, see, I used to have that nice handy dandy "Force Profile Update" plugin, where you couldn't do anything unitl you update your profile. The problem is that people who registered on the site prior to switching to Vbulletin, PHPNuke didn't have a birthday field, it was unique to vbulletin... so everyone that registered when it was PHPNuke has an empty birthday field, and the plugin didn't like it.

Don't force them to, just PM them or email them or something. . . It's not really that big of a deal, but it would make life on the boards easier on us all.
