Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
That top 15 isn't enough anymore, with all this traffic. I sleep in the day, when I get up none of the topics from the day are around anymore.
maybe make the top 15 into the top 25 or 30.
other boards have something like "top 10" and then "next 10" and so on for the last 2 days worth of most recent posts/replies.
that helps, but it looks like 30 is no longer enough, either. they all say "new", and what of the ones that scrolled off the top 30?

On the plus side, Angie gets a reprieve from getting bumped off the whore board when the top 15 changes to 30, and not much danger from redhead's only 15 posts in her 2nd day.
Yup, like Justin said. I have it at "Top 15" on the home page because I don't want it to make the forum home more crowded than it already is. I can set it up to do top 50 for the expanded, though, if everyone prefers..
yeah but the page is already massive, I have already set my cookies to minmize all sections on the page to maximize load times and put less stress on the server because the site is growing with all the extra traffic, making the site bigger may overwhelm new members.
I like 15 too. I know that I, along with some of the other post whores, have slowed it down a but for you old fogeys. . . . lol I like it at 15, but every once in a while, I change it to like 50, just so I can try to bring back a few threads. That's just my $.02
On the main forum page, 15 will remain. If you come to the site and there's more than 15, click the Statistics title in the box and it will expand to show you the Expanded Statistics, which will be 50... the page only displays the top X statistics. Generally, what I do when I come to the site and there's more than 15 new posts, I click to expand the statistics then if you click while holding control or shift down, it opens the link in a new tab or window respectively. This makes catching up on posts a lot easier, as you can just read each thread in a seperate window, leaving the expanded statistics open and just traveling up or down the list. Then I just refresh when I'm finished to make sure I'm caught up haha.
As for space at this moment,
295.65MB space used...
9704.35MB free, no need to worry on space.
Server load at this moment,
8,005MB bandwidth for the month of February so far out of an allocated 100,000MB... so again, no need to worry on server load.
The only POSSIBLE problem we could run into, which I don't foresee happening anytime soon, is HostGator saying we're running too many SQL queries a day... an SQL query is fetching something from the database that this website runs off of. On ProjectCamaro.com, they have over 1 million queries a day, and HostGator is forcing them to upgrade to a dedicated server.
