I restarted Apache and MySql -- freed up some memory. Server hasn't been restarted for 53 days, might do it tonight to see if that helps.

Well, I'll keep an eye on it. I might still restart it tonight. I honestly think what it more than likely was is that someone was either browsing the shoutbox archive or doing something else which can be "intensive" on the server.
