Hello all. Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. My name is Jason and I live in Lapeer. I usually hang out on thirdgen.org (for the Camaro) or on neons.org/detroitneonowners.org (for the neon), or nagca.com (for the Grand Cherokee). The car that brings me to this site is a 1989 Camaro RS with a T5. I picked it up a few years ago while looking for a project. I traded a 1985 Phazer (that did not run) for the car less a motor (severe rod knock). To get it going I dropped in a plan jane reman 350 and converted to carb for simplicity. Last spring I swapped over to a stand alone engine management and TPI. Why would I do that you ask? Well the car is now turboed so it made tuning a little easier. Due to the crappy weather I have not had a chance to tune it yet, but the boost is sweet! It's only going to see ~9lbs for now, so I am guessing around 400hp when it's dialed in. I also have a t56 from a Viper that will be grafted in by spring. The rest of the mods include - Vette C5 front brakes, 4th Trans Am rear with 3.23 gears, Viper front seats, Lakewood control arms and relocation brackets, and cheap-o lowering springs.
