Frank from Firebird Nation, finally got registered
ha everyone, I just finally got registered, been at Firebird Nation over a year now. Went to a local Firebird club gathering recently and met Ben and Meissen and several others from here, really enjoyed the interaction and was impressed with some of the things I've heard about Mifbody.com. So here I am. You should see me around quite a bit even though I'm a mod at fbn, kinda nice to get on a board of all local firebird owners, very appealing. For those of you who dont know me, I am the same username on fbn.
I drive a 1990 Firebird with a old worn out 208,000 mile 305. As long as I can keep up with the rust and keep her welded together I plan to swap in a better engine in the near future. Still debating my options, kinda leaning toward puttin in a built 300+hp 283V8 I already have but then I wanna boost it with a turbo setup. So hoping to get up around 450hp with the 283, but that may be a bit tough. Also I havent yet ruled out a 350 or a BB which would be awesome. I'd really like to get a World Products 509 merlin engine.
I am in college for Automotive Service, working toward an associate degree. And hoping to transfer to Ferris state for heavy equipment or engineering. However I dont think I'll go with engineering since the field prospects are so dead right now.
I am state certified in Brakes, Engine Performance, Engine Repair, Suspension & Steering, and I'm working on Electrical and Auto transmission right now.
So I hope I can be an asset to Mifbody just as I try to be at fbn. My allegiance is to the Firebird.
