My name is Cale. I have an 88 Camaro RS 2.8 roller I'm building from a complete 92 Anniversary RS 305 5 speed that has bad floors. My 88 is originally from Tennessee and is a really rust free car, although some of the previous owners have done some shoddy work to it I am in the process of undoing. It had a carbed 350 thrown in it at some point that spun bearings during break in, and was pulled (so I'm told). It looked like a kindergartner hacked a fuel pump access hole in the trunk with an air saw, so I have been repairing that lately by welding metal in from my 92. Gotta drop gas tanks to replace the fuel sending unit as they bent the lines all to hell to go over the front of the tank. I'm going to be welding on some UMI subframe connectors soon, and I have some ROH ZS wheels coming for it. Had to pull the interior as the carpet on the drivers side was soaked, the windshield may be leaking. I'm putting the deluxe black 88-92 Camaro interior in the car and ditching the base model black stuff. Plan is to do a Vortec TBI 350 and learn how to tune EFI, though I think the painfully slow lo3 may have to go in initially. I'm thinking I want to get a 3" Harwood cowl hood for it too. It's going to need a paint job too.

That's what I have going on. I hope to meet some of you guys in the future.

Thanks guys. If you have any links to wiring diagrams for an 88 and a 92 I'd really appreciate those. From what I understand, I am going to have to re-pin the 92 engine harness to match the 88 dash harness... and I don't at all know if the 92 tbi pcm will be a plug and play deal in the 88 or what to do about the vats the 92 has and the 88 doesn't.

TGO (thirdgen.org) will be your best bet other than buying service manuals for both cars.

              Some good engine harness info:

I'm on that board as well. That link is great, thank you. I have a 1990 Camaro service manual, sounds like I will be able to get by with it for the 92. I should probably buy one for the 88.
