Hi all, I recently just picked up a '95 Quasar Blue Z28 M6 to DD and take to shows with C2YT (I'm his twin brother). It has pretty moderate mileage (163xxx) but starts up quick and runs well. The car is essentially stock besides a few things that I'll mention a bit later on.
The car was originally purchased by the PO's mom, and he bought it from her when he turned 18. The engine was rebuilt at about 80xxx miles and new plugs/wires were put in too. No mods or anything were done to the engine, just seals. The PO also put in 4.10 gears at that time... which will make winter driving pretty slick (literally). It is an original leather seat car, and had the premium Bose sound system (which was swapped for a newer kenwood system, but I still have the stock Bose head unit). The car is by no means a show car, but is not beaten within an inch of it's life either. Never tracked or drag raced, just something fun to drive to and from work and around town in the summer. There are maybe 3 dings around the car, and a small dent on the passenger's bottom front quarter panel closest to the rear of the car. A few scuffs and chips but nothing that can't be easily touched up, I love the blue too. PO did a terribly waxing job on the car so I have to go back over it and get all the spots out with John... will take a while but should be well worth it. John mentioned clay barring the entire car because the paint is not slick like what it should be... don't think the PO cleaned it all too much because it was a summer car. As for the inside, he smoked. Nicotine was everywhere but we took care of probably 90% of the smell yesterday with some interior cleaner, windex, and armor all.
So now the car is all cleaned up and ready to be insured and registered. Looking at getting some tuning equipment just to get some hands on learning during the summer. Going to flush all the fluids and put in new ones, and new brake pads all around. It's a really solid car and i'm happy to be on this forum!
