  • Newcomer to the club, Macomb County

    Hello Everyone,

My name is Matt and I'm a new member here. New here but defnately not new to the sickness known as F-body love. I've had 6 second gens, 3 third gens and 1 forth gen over the years. All have gone for sale long ago but about 2 years ago I was able to get back into the game.

I've got a 79' Trans Am that I currently doing a frame off rotissere resto on. I bought it as basically a shell. Through a donor car that was rotted I was able to get everything needed to put her back on the road. Ive got a 403 for a heart, sticking with at least the original type of motor to the car and a 350 trans to be put in eventually but thats at least 12-18 mos away. Currently just doing everything I can get my hands on in the garage at home since the shell and subframe are at my Fathers. All new suspension parts, finishing up now getting everything painted so progress is happening but slowly (thanks to my 2 kids and wife lol.) But we'll get there eventually.

I'm a member over at Trans am Country if anybody wanted to follow my resto thread, not sure if I can post the link on this site but if its acceptable here , I would love to share my project.

Anyways, Happy to be part of the group. Looking forward to making it out to at least 1 or 2 events this spring/summer.

    Welcome aboard!

I love the blue '79. My vest friend had one. Lots of fun cruising in that with the tops out.

The 403 is good. Joe Mondello can make it even better.
