  • Hello

Hello fellow F-Body fans. My Name is Mike, My wife and I own a 96 6-spd convert (red / blk top, leather int.). It's mainly her sunny weather ride(39K miles), we've owned it since 1998. It seldom seen rain, and has never seen snow. Basicly stock other than 17" silver SS wheels. I have a set of Eibach lowing springs for it, and this spring it will get a new cat-back and maybe headers.

My 13 year old son and I have a rusty 1967 210hp 327/powerglide car, we plan to restore. Most of the disscussions I'll have on here will probably be about the 67.

Thanks in advance for your patience and help.
    Mike

The pics of the first gen are not pretty, in need of a complete makeover. But the price was right, my daugthers father-in-law just wanted it hauled off. His dad was the second owner, and its pretty complete, right down to the Protecto-Plate.

Should be a good learning experience for the youngster.

I'm allowing my son to have alot of input on what the finish car is like. He's pretty stuck on keeping the original 327/powerglide combo.

What I envision is something like I would have built in the late sixties, only with whats available today. I know it sounds goofy, but like Torque Thust wheels, but in 17"/18" sizes. Lower it about 1.5", with four wheel disc's and maybe a power rack.

Hard to put into words, really just want a fun solid safe car. I don't want a finicky motor that I can't drive when and where I want. It won't be super fast, just fun, solid & tough.

Sounds like it's going to be one sweet ride when it's done.
