Welkom to the site, I know we have a few road course racers here. I'm sure they'll chime in soon.

Welcome to the site Duane. You'll have to checkout some autocross events, there's one this sunday at US131 MSP in Martin. Maybe I'll see you there.

I recommend a good set of springs and shocks for starters. Can't go wrong with good tires either. From there, take it out on the course and see where you should go from there. Your modifications should support your driving style.

            Seats/belts
            Tires
            Shocks
            Brakes

IMO- Do not be considered about power. The last time I was at waterford Hill there were two guys in C5 Corvettes. One was mostly stock the other had lots of upgrades and R compound tires. The stock car was quicker because of the DRIVER

My fourth gen is a on budget so most of my upgrades reflect that...
            Shocks- Koni Sport
Brakes- Front- C5 Corvette Rear- Stock. *At minimum you should upgrade to LS1 brakes.
            Sway bars- 1LE 32mm front
            Springs- Eiback sportline
Tires- Japanese tire but they have too much tread on them to replace.
Seats- I just bought Sparco seats but I have yet to install them
