  • What's Up!

    Hello all,

Just picked up my first F-Body this past weekend, drove all the way to Virginia for it. 21k miles, bone stock and incredibly clean. Only issues are dry-rotted tires (they're the originals) and the antenna briefly creaks when raising.

I live in Auburn Hills, you'll see me or my girlfriend driving it around. We'll be driving it around for the Dream Cruise / B2B festivities next week. It will be the one with a temporary plate After that, the plate will be FLY1NLO. Looking forward to meeting up with other F-Body owners!

    -Dusty

Hi Dusty- Nice car! I live in Auburn Hills as well. I don't suppose you went to Lakeland high school in the late 90's/early 2000's, did you?

Welcome to the site. Nice ws6.

You should check out the michigan firebird club(MIFC) when you get a chance. MIFC is a club hosted at mifbody. I have links in my signature to our Facebook, forums hosted at mifbody, and how to join. We are meeting up for one of the b2b cruises next week and on Saturday for Woodward.

Wow thanks everyone for the welcome! Great community you've got here. Certainly loving the car to death so far, can't wait to start throwing money at it. I definitely want to meet up with others, thanks for the tip on MIFC and the meets going on next week.

Mike, I went to Grand Blanc HS.

Any plans for what you want to do to it yet?

Tires have gotta be first, since the current ones are shot. Looking at Nitto NT05, NT55, or Conti ExtremeContact DW.

After that comes subframe connectors, full exhaust, intake goodies, and suspension. In the end, the idea is to have a beastly back roads carver that can eat up an occasional weekend road course, yet still hold its own in a straight line on the street. Looking to do this with full suspension and brake upgrades, while eking as much HP as I can out of the engine without boost. If there is boost, it's most certainly not turbocharged.
