Hey everyone, names Tom. I have been saving to buy an fbody for about 5 years so, finally, I bought my 02 ws6 last september, perfect condition, full bolt on ls1. Decided it wasn't enough so i put it through a major upgrade this past winter. I pulled out all the stops on my first build. Pulled the ls1, stock trans, rear end, suspension, everything. I left the interior completely alone. 100% stock. I bought a low milage ls2 and started the build. Left the internals(rotating assembly) alone, (this is my first build), had a custom ground bullet cam made up, complete valve train setup, rockers, push rods ls7 lifters, c5r timing chain, high volume oil pump and put the tins on. Ended up buying a meziere billet flexplate, ati super damper, fast 102/nick will 102 tb, 100mm maf, 1"7/8ths headers and bought a nitrous outlet direct port setup. I had chuck at finish line transmission build me a level 7 4l65e with a rossler trans brake this winter as well. I found a moser 12 bolt less then a year old and bought that. I went out and bought an entire suspension setup, pa racing k member, adjustable lower a arms, tubular upper a arms, single adjustable qa1 coilovers for the front, sub frame connectors, sphoon extreme adjustable tq arm, sphoon lca's and a bmr adjustable pan hard. I bought a wolfe racecraft weld on anti- roll bar as well. I ended getting a dave's drive shaft painted flat black as well. I had the rear end paint matched to the car, and the entire suspension (except for the lca's) powder coated silver vained including the oil pan. I know there is more but I can't think of everything off the top of my head. I started the tear down process in Feb. this year and it's at the chassis shop getting squared up right now, and then I'm headed to d town to have Motor city speed/Billy Briggs and Rich Gala dyno and tune my car in a couple weeks. Not real sure what to expect seeing like I said this is the first car and build I have purchased.
So, I'm sure I'll be in for a surprise. Only thing left to do is buy wheels, and finish the nitrous, but that's on hold. I have depleted my play money and so it'll be on motor for a while. Looking to meet up with everyone this summer.

Welcome to the site Tom. That is a very good introduction. Sounds like a sweet ws6.
If your interested in hanging out and getting to know other firebird owners you should check out the michigan firebird club (MIFC). MIFC is a club hosted at mifbody and we also have a Facebook page. There is links in signature to our Facebook, forum hosted at mifbody, and how to join. My signature is only visible on web view and not in tapatalk.
