Nice! It is a sport coupe. Looks like you also were able to fit the truck water pump with a car manifold.. i might have to do that with my 5.3 in the LeMans.Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View Post

Correct. No 59-60 Impalas were ever bubble tops. Technically speaking, the term bubble top didn't come around until '62 to differentiate the Bel Air from the Impala. All 61 2dr hardtops were "bubble tops" just because that's the only way they came.

My cousin, Curt. He owns/runs Grand Valley Collision in Allendale. He put in the new full floor pan, rear quarters, rockers, and did the trunk corners.

Sounds like you had to do some serious rust repair. I got lucky, I only had to do the center floor brace, floor patches above the brace, half the trunk, both lower quarters and some rear wheel tub patches. Was a great way to put my new Hobart to use.Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View PostMy cousin, Curt. He owns/runs Grand Valley Collision in Allendale. My dad is doing the bodywork on it right now (in exchange, Im building an 89 IROC for him). I had a hard time deciding on the color, but in the end I had to go with black, because its MAAAAAD.
I will be swapping to the '67 style grill inserts and also opting for the GTO hood, though it wont be a GTO clone.
Something like this:
