  • Hello from Detroit

    Hey everyone,

I've recently moved to Detroit from grand rapids (finally finished grad school). Between my dad and I we have about a dozen thirdgens. I've also got a couple 88 fieros and a 66 LeMans convertible LS swap project going on.

My 88 GTA has been through a lot of engines including the stock 350 TPI, a turbocharged 305 TPI (James' original engine) and an LT1. I haven't driven the car in a couple years, though I am planning an LS swap after I buy a house.

Hey Matt -- were you on the site before in the past? Your name and car look very familiar. If so, welcome back.

One is an '88 Formula, red automatic. I swapped a '99 GTP L67/4T65E-HD into it. It has a new owner now.

The other is an '88 GT, black automatic. It had a 350 SBC. I've since pulled the drivetrain and it's a roller now. Not sure what to put in it.

I almost forgot my favorite car: my daily beater 2005 WRX wagon. The Subaru has a ton of personality and is a fantastic daily.

I actually just sold it about a month ago. The reality of having nearly ten cars and only a 2.5 stall garage to put them in finally set in.

We did build a '27 T roadster with a TPI though!

Looks like an 05 Saabaru to me!

I'm in the same situation, too many irons in the fire.

Yep it's a Saabaru. By far the best value in turbocharged BOXER motoring. Way cheaper than a legit WRX and it has some STi bits like the steering rack and HIDs to boot.

Edit: after looking at your signature I'm guessing you may have also noticed the '57 Chevy on the rotisserie. It's a two door post with c4 IRS and a tuned port.

Didn't catch it, it blended right in with the wall. Just did a rotisserie frame off on a 1960 Impala. Bagged, 5.3/4L60E, front disc, etc. Running the plumbing and electrical now before it goes back to the body shop for color. Fun stuff
