Hey all! Greetings!
My technical first car was an '86 Pontiac 6000 STE that I bought off my mother. After a few short months and being car-totaling rear-ended, I got my first Firebird. A 1986 Firebird V6 my father found deep in Detroit. We thought the engine was blown (according to the owner) when it turned out he had managed to cut the power to the fuel pump while cutting the way through the metal over the gas tank with a cutting torch! We reconnected the power, rebuilt/restored most of the engine and my absolute love for Firebirds began. After high school, I sold the '86 so I could get a black '89 V6 with t-tops. As a graduation present from college I found a low mileage 1998 3.8L in Navy Blue. After my wife and I got married and I blew the third transmission (and an unfortunate amount of speeding tickets) I made the unfortunate decision to sell it and get a "big boy" car. I have regretted that decision almost every single warm and sunny day since. Hoping to get my first project car in the next few years and it will be a Gen 3 Firebird to bring me back to my first love.
