What's up everyone. I am Jason and I am new to all of this. I look forward to exchanging ideas and info. because I know I will need it. I started off with a 99 Z28 with an LT-1 three years ago, but now I have to rebuild because of a traffic accident. I found a stock 99 Camaro with a V-6 and wanted to swap it out for my LT-1. Can this be done? I am pretty sure I have have everything needed for the swap. Can anyone save me from banging my head against a steel door? Everyone I asked said it cannot be done, but I have seen and read more about engine swapping than what the mechanics I asked probably knew , even though I am still a beginner. Somebody help me please, help me please.

Hey Jason! Welcome to the site! I'm a little confused - are you sure it's the LT1? 98+ Camaros came with the LS1 engine.

Here's what the LT1 looks like:

      Welcome!

      Let me start off by saying 1999 Z28's didn't come with LT-1 or LT1. LT-1 was a 1970 GM small block 350. LT1 was a GenII small block. 1998-2002 v8's were GenIII LS1.

Is it really a 1999 Z28 you have or just a typo?
