Thanks everybody for the welcomes and compliments. If I would of bought one new when I was younger I probably would have picked a different color, but when I went to look at this car the metallic in the Pewter really stood out in the sun and won me over. Plus, I get a ton of compliments on the color. Is that the same for most of you Pewter owners?

            hi, and welcome!!!

also, yeah. . . .i definitely didnt buy my car because of the color. in fact, i hated the color when i bought it. however, it has definitely grown on me. its a pewter car, as long as the wheels are shiny, the whole car looks clean

I personally love Pewter, but I feel bad for how many times Pewter owners have to correct people when they say "Silver"

I have not had it to the track yet, but I have my drag radials waiting and I am dying to go. I am aware of the track rental tommorow, but I need a helmet and I am tight on funds right now.

Just an update I finally made it out to the track. I went to Milan on saturday for their No ET nationals. I made 7 runs and coould have easily made triple that. I was running used Hoosier drag radials on stock chrome firebird wheels. I removed the spare tire and jack. I was launching it around 2k rpms.

                  Best pass:
                  60 ft ----- 1.7849
                  1/8 ET --- 7.959
                  1/8 mph - 86.68
                  1/4 ET --- 12.467
                  1/4 mph - 109.70

Also the statement about as long as the wheels are clean, is so true.
