Good Morning from PA...My name is Roxanne, and I just recently received a 1967 Firebird Convert. from my fiance (now my husband ) as a wedding gift..it is a one owner car that was bought in our area by one other person...we will be taking it up to the Detroit Dream Cruise in August..anyone else goin??...I am from that area of Michigan and have participated in that event for many years and cant wait to share the experiance with my new husband, who is a diehard motorhead..we also own a 1977 Chevelle, which he races as a drag car (he is a member of the 100pmh in the 1/4 mile club, does a 10.68 )..any suggestions regarding the Firebird is welcomed...Roxanne

Welcome to the site Roxanne! What a great wedding gift! I won't be at the Dream Cruise this year, but I know a ton of members will be. A popular spot for FBodies specifically is at Square Lake and Woodward - it's further north where traffic is moving but you get to see all the cars doing the Pontiac loop and cruising instead of inhaling fumes and watching cars creep by down around 13 mile rd. How long will you be in town for the Dream Cruise?

Holy crap! For a one owner 67 Vert, I'D marry him!!!

Welcome to the sitre, I'm sure lots of us will be at the dream cruise, hope to see you there!

As for recommendations for the bird.... I would suggest getting a catalog from Ames PErformance Engineering. They make outstanding parts for that vintage. You can find them here: http://www.amesperf.com/

And I would recommend joining the Michigan Firebird Club, of course.

I've made that same mistake myself -- you get so used to referring to Camaros all the time!
