  • Hello..

Hi, I'm new to michigan f-body. My name is Dan, and I'm a student at Western Michigan University.

I bought a 1994 quasar-blue V6 Camaro a couple of months ago and I love it. I'm starting to slowly put my time and money into it, and hopefully one day make it into a show car. I actually hit a deer in it a few weeks back, so it needs a new hood/front bumper cover. I'm planning on putting an aftermarket hood on it, though I'm not sure which one. I'm still doing some research on that.

Anyway, Just thought I'd introduce myself. Looking forward to becoming an active member...

Welcome to the site, Dan. You can get reproduction front bumper covers for $106 shipped to your door (roughly) -- I replaced my front bumper a year ago and it only cost me that much, not bad for a new bumper! Will still need paint and what not, but a good price none the less. Good luck on the rebuild, Quasar Blue is a gorgeous color.

Thanks meissen. Nice work on your '94, it looks amazing. I see that you have the Z-Roc Stinger hood, and I'm considering buying one. I also like the harwood 2.5" cowl ram air hood. I'm not sure which would look best on my Camaro. I'm planning on buying the hood/bumper together and then getting it painted. I'll update with pics when it's finished.

If you get the Z-roc, you have to stay with Quasar, I don't want any twins in MI

Haha. Oh I wouldn't worry. I love the color on it. And right now I'm leaning toward the harwood anyway.

Hey, Jon here, I had a close call with a deer, i managed to stop in time and it just stood there 5 feet in front of my car, too startled to move.

Yeah I got pretty lucky. I was going at least 55 when I hit it. Smashed my front bumper and hood and went right over, leaving the windshield unscathed. Just need a new hood (hopefully harwood ram air) and front bumper.

Damage doesn't look all that bad. New bumper, hood, and driver's side fender and you should be set!!! Bumpers can be had on Ebay for $106 shipped, not sure about the fender, and with an aftermarket hood you'd be all set and ready for paint.
