Hello everyone. Checking in from Charlotte. I'm about 20 miles SW of Lansing. I heared about mifbody thru thirdgen.org. Hopeing to meet some other members in my area. I am employed at Spartan Chassies in Charlotte. Been building fire trucks for nearly 17 years now. I really enjoy driving and working on my camaro, But with winter here the driving part is out. I have only had it a few months, but I have owned other fbodies before. Here is a pic. Please overlook the ford scoop, I am working on a fiberglass cowl for it.

Welcome, Lon, and enjoy the site!

Just out of curiosity, you don't happen to know a John Hummel that works/worked at Spartan, do you?

Here's a pic of the engine. It's a 355 4bolt with Edelbrock RPM heads Dart II intake. I don't know the complete specs on the cam, but by the sound of it it has a good amount of duration and lift. I believe it's a roller. As you can see underhood is gray,so are the door jambs. Hopeing to change it all back to gunmetal gray this spring. Maybe 2 tone with black. This is a California car with just over 70,000 on it and 4000 on drivetrain. WC t5 trans and detroit locker rear with 373's.

Yeah, he would have been in the design/engineering department...not sure he's there anymore...he would have been abut 5/9" and is a bigger guy (not fat...just BIG)...

Yeah it moves. Have not seen any track time but my guess would be mid-high 11's. Previous owner ran a low 12 on bald street tires. But I made a few changes and put drag radials on it. It had an Edelbrock 750 carb, but I changed it to a Holley with a proform race mainbody.

I probably met him at somepoint in my time here.
