Best Shops in Metro Detroit

Hello F-body memebers, I have been on here for a while but never posted. I usually just read threads from others. I have a 92-Z28 that I am looking to do some work on hopefully in a few months. I am looking for some of the best shops for rebuilds, and does good work making more hp. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the site Darius. Are you just needing someone to rebuild the engine and you install it or do all the labor for the upgrades too?

After the major mechanical, I have a shop that has a dynojet, HP Tuners and a wideband that can tune it up REAL well. They're in Wixom, at Beck and I-96, so, they're no too far from your location. By the way, welcome to the site!

Thanks everyone for the responses, @ Darren I will post pics soon my car needs alot of work it lokks like your car same color and stripes just not as nice, and it's a Z28. I am looking to have the engine rebuilt and some bolt ons put on to add more hp. I really like the pro touring style I see in the camaro performers magazine. This is a project car so I know that the body and suspension will come later but now I am focused on the drivetrain. I want to stiffen up the tranny and put a stall & shift kit as well. My goal is between 350-400hp because I still want to be able to drive it on the street and dont plan to drag race. @ Steddy I will definitely come by after all the work has been done to get a dyno test and tune. @ Meissen I want someone else to do all the work because although i know alot about cars its been my passion forever, I don't know how to work on them.Thanks for all the responses!

That's what we do here. When you're ready for that tune, I'll give you the number. The guy's been wanting to expand to GMs. His family is big on the drag circuit with Fords, but he pulled quite a few extra ponys out when he tuned my car and it's never run this well, even when it was stock.
