  • Looking for High Performance service

Hi, I'm new! I found the site looking for some help on a good High Performance Service place in West Michigan. I have a 2002 TransAm that you just don't want anybody working on and there are somethings I don't dare do myself! Like a new clutch maybe? Anyway, if you have suggestions I am all ears.

Hey Rick! Glad you found our side of the internet. I'm not from the West side of the state so unfortunately I'm not too much help, but hopefully one of our WMCC guys can speak up.

When I lived out there, I had all the major work done at Grand Automotive right on 28th street.

In the back they had several high performance and muscle cars, and could do everything.

      Plusses from my experience:
      - quality work
      - resonably priced
      - high attention to detail
      - car was stored indoors at night

      Negatives:
      - slooooow...don't expect a quick turnaround as they are (or used to be) the mechanic hand of Grand Oldsmobile, and all their stuff took precedence.

I can bore you with further details if you want, but they did a full engine and trans rebuild for me, and I've not had an issue in 7 years.

I'd suggest stopping by and giving them a look over and see what they have stashed in the back. Don't be afraid to quiz the manager on what they can do or want to do.

If you lived closer I could do it. Since I lost my job I have been working on cars at home. Just finished putting in a 355 lt1 with a t trim, new clutch, fuel pump, aftercooler, line lock, Deltec, and much more on a 94. I have to do a clutch in a 99 SS next, then a 5 lug conversion on a mustang..
