  • Re intro badbird

Well been thinking of doing this for awhile and happens to be Fathers day and thought no better time!My name is Rick Geiger and live in Ortonville now and heres a little about me.Longtime Pontiac fan I was born in Detroit 1964 (same year for GTO and grandson born 04 same year GTO cameback) and grew up in Pontiac/Clarkston.Grew up with most of family working for GM,my Dad and I would work on cars,go to races and cruise woodward and was going to build car but lost him when I was 18.Well I was starting a family and sold my hot rod and it was the 80's and the peformance looked bleek just lost interest. Then one day looking for a car for my 16 year old son we seen a couple of used 4th gen firebirds one black and one red, always wanted black but red looked so sexy I bought me the red one.Well got the bug again so started working on it and doing shows, racing and cruising which made me think of Dad and me building a car and remember a car growing up called the "RAD RAT" which was a blown big block 3rd gen camaro then a 4th "Y2K RAT".So came up with "BADBIRD" and started to build then one day in 2002 driving to a job happened to see a 01 red WS6 and opti spark was going out again so got the 01.Thats where I'm at now,it took awhile to pay off and maybe now finally able to get it where I want it.Its a work in proress but hopefully one day a 10 sec pro street car.Might go with blower out hood but kinda like eatons (sleeper except for big ass rears) I keep a pic in car as reminder that Dad is still helping in build.heres early pics.THANKS DAD!!!
