                Maybe the computer "chip" is acting up or a bad O2 sensor or burned up wire going to a sensor?

                How was AZ? I think I might move out there in a few years. I have a catless car though.

                Used to own a Firebird.

                    Computer has been replaced, though I don't think I replaced the PROM. Any idea how one would test that?

                    O2 sensor has been replaced at least twice. Haven't checked extensively for bad wiring. That might explain the intermittent performance.

                    AZ is amazing. Very diverse climates, though the large cities are all in the desert. Personally, I like the heat and find it endearing that all the plants and animals want to kill you. As far as I know, only Tucson and the Phoenix metro area require smog checking, so as long as your car is registered elsewhere, you'd be fine. Unless your catless is the '67... that's old enough to not require smogging, I believe.
