    Hello everyone,

I am new to the site. Just bought an 02 Z28: 14k miles, all stock w/ ttops, M6, leather, chrome wheels, ASR and monsoon. Upgraded from a 95 camaro w/ the 3.4l M5 and ttops that I owned for about 4 years...

So far the only thing I have done is bought a USA spec iPod adapter and I am getting diamond gloss paint protection done on Friday... my parents are also pushing the underbody rust protection from Ziebarts since the car is mint (never driven in snow, kept covered in heated garage all its previous life) and now that I own it it will unfortunately be driven daily and not garage kept.

I find the square tip stock exhaust too quiet for my taste and find the skip shift annoying, but other than that the car is perfect- but I would like to do some budget mods (college budget). I was thinking CAI, headers, ypipe and back to start, later an ls6 intake manifold...

Let me know of any suggestions- im always open to advice.

    Thanks,

    Colton

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a nice ride, pics are a must! Someone correct me if I am wrong, but an 02 LS1 already has a LS6 intake ..

Welcome to the site! you have the right idea for your first mods

mind sharing how much you paid for the car? I am looking into the market for a low miles DD and want to know the going rate.

        post up pics!

Welcome. I wouldnt do the undercoating IMO the previous owner did it on my car and i am not happy with it. will you be driving in the winter?
As far as mods id start with a Intake Lid,Smooth Bellows and a good filter of your choice. Then a cat back and skip shift. Also i recommend a "short stick" i got mine at WS6store made the factory Hurst feel much more solid.

Just posted a few pics... I have been looking at these for a while now- its difficult to find an M6 with ttops and low miles anywhere near here; I ended up paying $12,500. I think its an OK price- I have seen the SS with as low of miles go for 4-8k more at minimum.

The car will be driven in the winter now, which is why I am considering getting the underbody done. What do you think of the diamond gloss job from Ziebarts? My old camaro ended up with sunspots (although it was originally from florida) and had a lot of chips in the hood and was beginning to flake in a few places.

Where should I be looking at purchasing the intake and exhaust parts from?

You already have an LS6(or should have) intake. Save your $300..

that is a GREAT price, I have been looking around and every one I have found is 4-8k more with that mileage. you snagged quite a deal.

                              But without heads/Cam it's a useless upgrade.
