Hi there everybody, my name is Brandon and I just joined.
I've had my 1985 Trans Am since for 15 years now and it's been a lot of fun. The old saying...blood, sweat and tears!! applies here.
The car, it started out as a basic 1985 Pontiac Firebird T/A with a 305 Chevy, after a while I wanted a little more power and upgraded to a 1987 Corvette 350 Chevy, I believe that was an L98 motor?? That was a great motor, It went from TPI to carb on my car.
After that is when I got a little more into it. In the next few years, 2000-2003 I swapped out the 350 for a 383 chevy, went Ford 9" rear with detroit locker, Hotchkis rear control arms and subframe connecters, spohn torque arm, and a 700R4 that took three rebuilds from two different people to get right. ARRHHH! But the trans is not the long story it's the engine that was a nightmare.
Right now I am currently updating the interior, finally...I'm looking for a few plastic parts and I'm hoping to get some new carpet and a new headliner real soon.
Thanks and I'm glad to be here
