Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Wow nice collection of TA's there Rick........as President of the West Michigan Firebird Club I'd like to invite you join us sometime. We have several events planned once the weather breaks, and lately we've been holding our monthly meeting in Hudsonville. Hope to see ya around, and enjoy the site!!!
Oh by the way check out our website at www.wmfirebird.com for more info on the club.
hey thanks for the invite, funny thing is I was about to join up with the ohio firebirds as i couldnt find a michigan based club and they are a great bunch of guys. where at in hudsonville do you guys get together?
Right now we're meeting at the Ameriprise Financial office which is in the buildings across the street from City Hall. Our next meeting is Monday if you're available, but that meeting is going to be held in GR just off 44th St, if you're interested in joining us I'll get you the address. We meet for about an hour and it starts at 7pm.
Nate- The spoiler on the 4th gen is the standard spoiler all convertibles have.
LOL, understandable I'm often stuck bringing my kids with me because the wife is in class on Monday nights. We'll be meeting again in April, I'll keep you posted.
We started forming the club last fall, but just opened it up to accepting members in January. (had to get all our ducks in a row with state/federal filings, and GM approval)
Right now we have 11 members, we're open to all generation Firebird/TA's. I will say we're heavy with 4th gen owners right now, but I'd love to have more first and second gen owners join us. I personally have 2 3rd gens and 2 4th gens.....I'd like to have a 10th Anniversary, but all in due time. (that's code for I haven't convinced the wife yet)LOL
yeah, lol i'd love to have a tata as well. i have a buddy with one who'd gladly sell it to me but i'd have to sell my 77 in order to do so. And well my wife isnt digging that idea at all.
any 1st or 2nd gen members in your club currently? where are the members based typically at this point?
We don't have any 1st or 2nd gen owners currently, but the club is in it's infancy still. The majority of our members are from the GR area, but we have 1 from Muskegon, 1 from Allendale, 1 from Allegan, 1 from Hudsonville, and myself from Holland......So we pretty much have West Michigan covered. LOL
gotcha, thinking on that i believe my uncle noticed you guys last fall. he has a 78 y88 trans am. i have a buddy with a 75 4spd ta and a 78 400 auto ta. then another with a 70, 74, tata, low mile 79, 2 more 79's 70 chevelle ss 83 z28 and tons of 2nd gen parts cars. also know of a few other guys with t/a's all 2nd gen but not really buddies with any of them. more like aquaintances as i buy parts from them.
what does the member in allendale have? I work out there. I work at action glass but i cover, holland grand haven muskegon south haven, allegan, lakeview ionia hastings k-zoo you get the picture lol. within a hour-hour and a half from allendale.
Sweet then you're the guy I need to help get 2nd gen owners into the club. I grew up drooling over 2nd gens, all my buddies in high school either had 2nd gen TA's or Camaros. I could never afford one so I settled for a '79 Monte Carlo instead.
Seriously though I'd like to have some of you guys join us, the diversity is going to be key to a successful club.
Hey Rick welcome to the site. Im the treasurer of the Firebird Club. Derek is the one in Allendale and he has a nice red 4th Gen. like Scott said we have allot of 4th gens right now but would love to get some of the early gens in. Once spring breaks and we start going to and putting on some events we will be able to do that. the main core of us has been around the car scene a long time and love to hang out. Would love to have ya in the club. Ive always been partial to the 2nd gens
