I worked as a Honda technician for a while. I know these cars quiet well. It's a great little car, killer economy... It's like driving a go-kart. Great for daily/winter/crap weather duties. Hell of a controllable car in snow drifting as well.Originally posted by 2EVUL4U View Postquick86----Sure ... I work just south of Holt ... What's with the "rice" in your garage?--- during the crappy months I roll in a tricked out flat-black 2000 Grand Am, you'd know it if you saw it (EVUL 1 on the plate)

Guess that makes a little sense, sort of. I worked at a local Ford dealership for a while, they really loved it when I pulled up in my '78 Z28 (ended up selling it a few years after that).Originally posted by quick86 View PostI worked as a Honda technician for a while. Glad to see you guys like my stripe. Too bad it's going through a major cosmetic change right now. I just put a new '98-'02 style ram-air hood on it, so I'm switching it to a dual stripe. Still working on the design for that, but I'll make sure to post the pics when it's done.Last edited by 2EVUL4U; February 18th, 2010, 03:52 PM.

I was their Quick Lube Tech, while I was training to be an auto-tech ... Got really tired of the B.S. at a dealership, so I never certified. I'm a Field Suprvisor for a local landscaping/lawn care company, now. I just do automotive work for fun.Originally posted by quick86 View Postlmao. Yup. Ford wasn't too happy with the Barron family.

Nice. I went there twice for service on my Lightning ----- only because it was a ***** to change the oil on it in the driveway, so I'd drive it in there, and watch the lube guys there do it... but that was long after the Barron's had lost it. it was Courtesy Ford....

They're definitely easier to do on a lift. The only cars that I hated to work on there were the Yamaha powered SHO's. Funny thing is I ended up picking up a '90 SHO (5-speed w/60k miles) with that engine, for $3000 while I was working there. Made a good family-performance car, at least until my divorce.Originally posted by quick86 View PostNice. THOSE are a pain in the ass... True... They took a big ass Yamaha designed V6 and stuffed that ***** in there, lmao... Fun cars, PITA to maintain.
Like I said, when the weather warms up, we'll have to meet up some time.

What part of lansing are you in?
We have enough lansing people to actually hang out now. Anyplace you spend fri and sat nights in lansing?
I'm usually cruising around the Holt area on those nights. There's SUPPOSED to be a Sonic opening on the south side of Lansing which will be the perfect place to hang out this spring. We'll see about that tho!
