Hey everybody. I have finally made it to this point. Seems like the introduction usually comes first but just maybe I operate backwards. Hell I don't know. Anyhow the weather is great and the water is fine come on in. I seriously want this winter over and done with. I have a incredible car that is allergic to the cold. Well mainly the salt. 1986 Buick Grand National. What? What? You might be asking yourself. What in the world is a Buick owner doing on the F body site? Well My love for F bodies is a bizarre one. My first car was an 84 Camaro Z28. I always wanted a first generation. Something about them just stops me in my tracks and makes me drool for a few. Especially when there is a big block jammed in there. Ah who am I kidding? Cram a 355, 383, or a 406 in there with a fat cam ground on a 106 with a nice thump, thump, thump pouring out of the 3" flowmasters and I have just wet myself. So I think that sums up my love for the f bodies. I have had a 79 and an 81 Z28. 83 Berlinetta, 84 Z28 and now I am looking for a 4th gen. I would like to buy an older one and just have some fun with it, but I will not deal with a 2nd gen with spring shackles on the verge of popping through the rear seats. So I am moving on. Time for 4th gen. And if the motor happens to die this will give me a reason to build the 383 I have sitting on standby. So that is about it. I want to drive my car and put the little v6 power to the road.
Everyone I hope you enjoy this read. If it makes sense then I think I am in the right place. If not, I guess I go back to the stuck up turbo buick site.
Thanks for allowing me to be part of your wonderful family of friends and lovers of fine quality automobiles.
