My engine on my ta blew last May the valve spring snaped, well that was the end of it.. Just dropped a Ls2 engine in it found it at a good deal. I've been laid off for a year and a six months so money was limited, I was able to save some aftermarket parts that were on my LS1 the one head, the engine and the camshaft were history. Found the LS2 engine out of a 2006 trailblazer SS for 1,600. And 243 heads ported, polished W/Patriot Performance Gold Valve spring kit,Ferrea 6000, Stainless Steel intake(2.02 for 950. Also picked up the best cam that I could get in a 6.0, and decided to rebuild the new engine found a site that sold rebuild kits and just finished it last week. It sounds great its to bad that i'll have to wait until May to bring it out. I still need to get the computer flashed

Welcome to the site. The LS2 route doesn't seem like a bad way to go. We have a member that has an LS2 in his 98 Trans Am and hes put down good numbers on the dyno and at the track.
