well i would LOVE a WS6, cheaper the better of course, but if i couldnt get a WS6 then id have to get a an LS1 Camaro, and i couldnt get one of those, id settle for a 3800 camaro and do a major build on that considering i may go Twincharged on my GTP this winter anyway. (GTP has a 3800 for those who didnt know)

How much you looking to spend? There's a guy on here that has an LS1 Trans Am for like 5500, might take 5000. It's not a WS6 but the only significant difference is the hood...

5000 is around my budget, it wouldnt be until about spring because ineed to get back to work, i was laid off last spring and have yet to find another job, but have been saving money for a build. i was just looking to see whats out there, maybe settle on one in the spring. Id like it to be stock of course,so i can build my own car.

Welcome aboard. Yeah, there are some pretty decent deals here. If I hadn't re-engineered my 3800, I would jump on just about 4 of them up for sale right now. They're in the "cars for sale" area.

I had a supercharged v6 firebird, I can say having my boltons ls1 blows the old car out of the water in all regards. can't beat the incredible reliability of the ls1 either. Sure you could invest a ton into that GTP of yours and make it a fast v6 monster, but you would be doing so still to have a heavily modded v6 with VERY LITTLE reliability. I like to drive my car, not fix it all the time.

Just my .02, but i think youd be very happy in an ls1 trans am.

welcome to the site jeremy. sweet car you have there. so you are with ZZP, so you know steve hickman? he is a close friend also with a low 12s GTP. hes actually on here too but doesnt post often since he got rid of his camaro. there are actually a couple guys on here with GTPs if I remember right, mikek18 for instance has already chimed in. my cousin just picked up a 99 GTP and steve is in the process of helping him with his. stick around, you will like it here
