Well ever since I saw the first concept of the new Camaro I've always liked it. It just so happened that my dad was getting ready to scrap his old plow truck (it's been sitting around because he got a newer one) and I looked it up on the Cash For Clunkers site and it applied for the $4,500 towards a new (V6 only) Camaro and since he was gonna scrap it anyways he said I could have it. So I started messing with the Build Your Camaro page on the Chevy website and really liked the Aqua color. After going to a couple of dealerships and looking at some I fell in love with the Victory Red. After looking through the options list (and not being able to order one since they were on back order and the program would be over by the time it was here so I had to find one already on a lot) I decided I wanted one with the RS Package. I found a Victory Red one about 18 miles from me so I went to look at it and they said they needed the truck there to inspect before I could leave a down payment. It was close to closing time so I told the sales person I'd come in around noon the next day. I gave him a call around 11 a.m. the next day and he told me that someone picked up the car the same morning even though he had told me he was gonna hold it for me.
So after being frustrated for two days and calling every dealer around I finally found one. The closest dealership that had a Victory Red V6 with an Automatic trans and the RS Package was six and a half hours away in Pennsylvania. It just so happened that the day I found it my dad was at an auction in PA (he owns a used car lot) and the dealership was only 35 minutes away so he went to look at it for me and it was exactly what I was looking for and they agreed to (really) hold it for me until the next day.
The next day we took his new F250 and rented a trailer from uHaul and put the truck on it. My dad and brother headed out at 3 in the morning to go pick it up (since I had work). Since we were hauling the truck they were driving slower and didn't get there until 11 (with a couple of stops). The whole process took basically all day (didn't leave until 6) because of the whole government funding. They made it back at 12:30 and I of course came outside of my house to see my car (for the first time). I fell in love right away and wanted to take it for a drive since I never actually went out and test drove one. Fast forward a month and here's my car about a week and half ago.

It's a 1LT, with the RS Package and the Convenience and Connectivity Package. Only thing I've done to it (so far) is have the front, rear and center cap bowties done in red.
