sorta new here

I registered last fall but never posted. 84 Z28, originally a 5.0L HO/5-speed but it's had an 89 Corvette TPI 350 in it since 1990. The car was originally from Texas and only has 72,000 miles on it. The cosmetics are mostly original, but the mechanicals are very much not! I use it mostly for autocrossing with the Detroit Council of Sports Car Clubs www.dcscc.blogspot.com Check the website for more event info - we run much more casual events than SCCA with a slightly different class structure, so an F-body on street tires with typical mods (such as SFCs) isn't stuck running against full on race cars.

That's a great looking Z28 you have there. I love the Conteur Interior as well. I have the black and gray version in our white '85 IROC-Z.

The DCSCC sounds like a pretty cool group. I used to Solo II race a lot back in the day and always thought the strict rules made it hard for a street car too. I understand the SCCA has a couple of middle-ground classes now between F-Stock and C-Prepared just for cars with common street mods.
