  • YET ANOTHER...WMCC member!

Name is Brent...been out of the scene for a little while...have (had) a blingin' '01SS with a warmed over 346 compliments of LPE. Won some shows, won some races...wasn't enough sooooooo I COMPLETELY tore it apart to make it a little warmer and a little more blingier (is that a word?).

Lol, problem is now its been apart so long I can't remember how she goes back together ! Might need a members car or two for reference when assembly begins...

Anyway, glad to see a site showin' off some local iron (aluminum ) and some familiar names to rap with. Looking forward to the new car season...hopefully, I'll be joining everyone soon.

    Before...

Always room for improvement soooooo, wrench, wrench, wrench...

Appreciate the welcome guys, thanks! Hope to put names with faces in the near future...

Doug! You old fbod dog...I assume you're keeping those West side boys straight?! They DO need guidance, you know...especially between the lines! Nice to hear from you, sir.

Ray! Thanks for the props! Nice coming from a guy with the smoothest 2nd gen around. Love the improvements, btw. Can't wait to see it in person!!

Seeing how we're getting acquainted and RE-acquainted....let's get to know a little something about the ride. Project started out with a simple motor pull...well those that know me, know that my philosophy is, "While I was there...." . So I sold everything from chrome tbody to flexplate and for good measure dumped my wheels and tires. For the last year, I've been staring at a 16000mile '01 SS without a motor riding around the garage on a set of salad shooters. Nice, huh?

In between, I got divorced from my 'shot-gun-buddy' which was a bit of a set back and basically put the project on hold, just to RE-MARRY to her a couple weeks ago...so we're back in the saddle!!!!

Back to the project. There are lots of unknowns, some assumptions and of course, a few secrets .

As a tidbit, here are few of the motor specs:

                      Lingenfelter LS2 @ 403.7980765 c.i. (hell, can we call it a 404?)
                      JE Pistons
                      Callies crank
                      Manley rods
                      ARP head studs
Compression is 10.995 (as long as we're rounding off...11.0 when a 68cc head is strapped on!!!)

Heads and cam are TBD, but I can assure you the fellas down in Decatur will be getting the check(s). Stay tuned...

Additional goodies at the minute include:

Billet fuel rails (thanks, Nasty Perf)
Mezeire water pump (and it is SHINY!!)
                      One off 'valve cover-covers' (not a typo...shhhhhh)
                      FAST 90 Intake

More to come and maybe a few pics....

LMAO! Agreed Doug....not much there, but there is hope.

Hey Doug, while I'm thinking about it. The wife and I are considering an open invite to our home (notice I said TO and not IN, lol) when you all come over for Superfest. We're thinking a little BBQ, cocktails (as if that needed to be said!) and some good 'ol fashion BS'n. How or who can help get that ball rollin'?
