  • New! 87 Iroc-z 383 LT1 turbo'd!

Well I just stumbled upon this site so decided to register.
I live in Windsor Ontario and drive a 87 Iroc-z (originally a 5.7 tpi car)

    Little background on the car...
I traded my old GSXR750 to my buddy for the car and it was a 355 LT1 that ran 12.90s. So after driving it for 2 months it just wasnt enough and wanted to turbo the car but I knew the 355 wouldnt take the boost. So i traded my buddy (he was low on cash) my 355 and 2500 CDN for a built 383 LT1, forged -28cc pistons, 6.0 H-beams, eagle crank, Loydd elliot Stage 2 heads etc.

The Car made 411RWHP thru the auto and I had a moser 12 bolt in it. and then eventually ran consisten 11.79-80sA114mph with the stock 3.42 10 bolt back in (sold the moser bc need cash for my new GSXR750 lmao)

So after running high 11s I figured lets get on with turboing the car.

I went and bought a Mig welder and started buying parts as I saw deals online.

    I ended up with a Garrett TH08A64 T6 74mm turbo with a .96 AR.

I build everything myself from scratch and it was my first ever welding project so be easy! lol

I have only drivin the car up and down my street while tuning the car, but I have made about 5psi and it just smokes the tires!
I havent gone WOT yet tho. I been rolling into 2nd gear and slowly spooling it up (makes 3-4psi at 4K rolling into it)

My goal is to make around 600-650 RWHP on 8-12PSI

I have also decided to build a better fuels system..

    2-255 Walbaro's
    -8AN stainless Feed
    -6AN return
    -Areomotive AFPR
    -Siemens 60# injectors
    -8AN rails

The second 255 pump is hooked to a mallory box and is trigger to come on a 4000RPM as is my meth (I may bump it up once I get into tuning more)

Anyways enjoy and feel free to ask any questions!

PS the car is getting painted Mazda Speed Red in a month or so.

****** the engine pic is before painting and wrapping the headers, also meth has been installed and it has been cleaned up!
