  • new to forum with 2nd gen

new to the forum and I thought I would introduce myself and say hi. My name is Chad. I have a 78 camaro that i've owned for about 15 years now. I'm always doing something to it so the specs change alot but it has a 454 th350 and ford 9" with 3.73's. I've done all the work myself and am upgrading the suspension right now with spc upper control arms and heidts lower. I'm just waiting for the front coilovers they are qa1's. I'm also upgrading the steering box to an agr 12:1. After i'm done with the front i'm going to focus on the rear suspension with a triangulated 4 link and mini tub's.

    here's a couple of pics.

Awesome car bro! 2nd gens are the best by far. Not the interior I'd expect on a car like that but I like it.

      Hi Chad,

      Welcome aboard!

It's nice to see another 2nd Gen owner on here, especially one from the west side of the State.

Looks like a pretty nice '78 ya got there.

When you get the QA-! coil overs, make sure you get the 550# springs. When we put them on my '74Z with the springs that came with the kit (350#) they were nearly totally collapsed, and that's with a small block engine. There is a 450# set too, but we went all the way to the 550# ones and are very happy with the install and the way the car rides.

If you can, try to come out to Berger Chevrolet on Wednesday (May 6th). They are having an Official Unveiling Party for the 2010 Camaro from 6pm-9pm. We will have a bunch of WMCC members and cars there.
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered
