    new old member lansing

    well i had registered here a ways back but stopped progressing on my car and stopped posting all together, until recently. now my car is almost out of the paint shop and i will have plenty to do to get it ready for the meet and greet. i am posting some pics for you all to see. i have posted these also over at the 3rgen website. so if you seen them there, well they are the same pics........
    back on me is, i am a us marine. have been for the past 12 1/2 years. i bought cindy (my car) 1 yr into my enlistment. i started doing my mods when i went to iraq in 2004. it funded everything plus gave me something to look forward to. i then went again in 2005 and 2006 i became a recruiter. once i started recruiting, i had no time for the car. but now i am done with that and it's time to finish her up...ok, enough chat for now here are some pics....let me know what ya'll think.

              Wow, Dave! I saw the rear stripe but didn't see the hood stripe on 3rd gen. Looks absolutely great! Love the detail pinstripe work around the top of the scoop.

              Is that a vent in the hood scoop, too? Mind sharing where you got that from? I need to get something for mine.

                the color is ppg wild fire red with jet black stripe. the motor is a 406 sbc 11:1 compression, mahle forged pistons, eagle rods, solid roller cam .510 lift int/exh, roller lifter, roller rockers, afr 190 heads, holley contender intake, holley 750, hedman headers, custom exhaust w/magnaflow muffler, moser 12 bolt, 3.73 gears,eaton posi, umi lower control arms, adj panhard, spohn tq arm, umi subframe connectors, custom 3.5in alum driveshaft, tremec 3550, 02 ss wheels pa racing k-member, pa front lower control arms.....things to come are new headliner, carpet, door panels, c5 brake kit, new front/rear spohn sway bars, and eventually 6 or 8 point roll bar. i'll be seeing some of you at the meet and greet. thanks for the compliments.

                  no, there is no vent screen yet. i have it cut out but i have seen a lot of screens for them...i will be picking up one and figuring out how to install once the paint is 2-3 weeks old and hardened. i have the camaro fog light panel, but it needs painted. i will most likely just buy a new one but with the bowtie instead.
