  • "The F-body Lives" guy, newbie

That's really the best way I can introduce myself, since I think a fair number of people have seen the video. Well hey, Pheonix Rising recommended I check out mifbody, so I did. Though I live in Kalamazoo, I have an internship in Ann Arbor this summer so I'll be sticking around there mostly. I'm also a senior in mechanical engineering at U of M, hence my residence in Ann Arbor. I'm also on the f-bodyhideout, LS1LT1.com, LS1tech, and SEMB if you thought I looked familiar.

I've put as much money as a college student could ever justify into my T/A...probably not very responsible but oh well. She's got a .544/.571" 230/242 cam, so it's got a bit of lope at idle Also my alternator is relocated where the A/C compressor used to be--pics are on cardomain if anyone's interested. You'll never get tall valve covers into an LT1 without moving that stupid thing, but most already knew that. I just got done with a serious bout of opti troubles--somehow a bolt loosened on my double roller timing chain assembly and it started hitting the timing cover, creating an oscillation that doomed the opti....and then also the second opti...before I finally figured it out Sorry for the long intro, good to be here among the Michiganders!

Hey Jared! Welcome to the Mifbody family. I'm glad you made it over. Stick around there are always a lot of great times and people here. Post as often as you like and hopefully you can make the trip out to our Annual Meet and Greet at Stony Creek Metropark near Detriot on May 13. It would be great if you could show up in the T/A. This should be a huge event. Were looking at 60-100 fbodies in one spot. Take it easy and I'll see you around!

Welcome to the site, Jared! Glad to see you're here. We've probably crossed pathes on the 'net a few times, I'm on LS1tech.com (but I don't venture out of the Appearance forum -- except to see how my "Hot Girls with Hot Cars" thread is doing in the multimedia section ) and SEMB also.
