Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I appreciate the compliments. Because of work i haven't had much time to surf around the site but i will certainly do that soon. So far i've done all of the work on the car myself. No major performance mods yet(lack of $$$$$) other than the basic headers/afpr/injectors/cai/etc... A friend will hopefully help me get everything in tune this spring. As soon as we can hit the dyno. The biggest things ive done are in appearance. My main proffession is after all body/paint work. The color is original, but the red stripe was tape before. Now its painted on. I hope to at least lower it and redo as much as i can underneath soon. It sat high in the front when i got it then i took at least 100lbs of the front end when took out the a/c and such. Now the front is higher than the back. There are lots of things to do yet. The car is just a driver. Interior is in need of some help but all that will come in time.

Again, thanks for the welcome. I have to apologize for spelling Michigan wrong earlier. Sorry. Wasn't intentional. Here are a couple of pics for those who couldn't check out the album.

        Hi there Josh,

I was just reading about your car on TGO. Was that Maui Blue a rare color on these cars because I never see it around. Anyhow, welcome to our humble abode!

I can't say how rare it is, but i have been told that the combo of a formula 350 in Maui blue is somewhat rare. The RPO tag was missing when i got the car, and it had been repainted (badly), but when i stripped it down this was the color underneath so i believe its accurate. The silver bottom with red tape may not have been original, and i didn't care for it at first, but it grew on me and i made sure to bring it back. I'm not too concerned with its rarity or how it affects the value. The car had been a theft recovery and although it wasn't wrecked it got totalled by the insurance company and now has an R-title which wouldn't help the case. The front fenders and crash bar still have correct VIN stickers on them and there are no signs that anything other than cosmetic damage was ever done. Anyway, I've only ever seen one other one this color in person, and it was a 305 car. Only had 3300 miles on it though. I've found some on the web of course. Not too many though.

Welcome to the site. Nice looking car. Do you plan to put a spoiler back on it ? By the way I had a maui blue 350 WS6 car up until about 2 weeks ago when I sold it to Derek. It may be at the M&G if he get's the engine back together in time.

Thanks. If theres any cash left after i do the suspension stuff i'd like to buy one. The original is still in my garage, but theres not much going for that one. Looks like crap. The clips and most of the holes are still on the hatch. I welded the ones for the center brake light shut. Not sure if the fiberglass repo comes with that, but i'll eliminate it if so. I think it would look much cleaner.

I would like to see that car. Have to check it out.

Here are some pictures of the one I had. It had been recently repainted and did not have the decals put back on. The original spoiler was cracked like most so it got a regular Firebird spoiler. I had a carfax on this car and it is a real 350 WS6 car and the original color was Mauii Blue.
