Hello fella's, I know I'm out of my area but I needed some help and someone forwarded me to this site. Besides, maybe I can get some new ideas for what to do with my 91 camaro as I do my rolling resto.

I'm working on them, but I still haven't taken any pics of the car since I bought it back in Sept. Perhaps I'll actually take pics tomorrow if it's nice weather, and then fight the dial-up internet to get the 10Mpx pics in, lol.

Well, simple....sorta. I'm burnin mucho oil, and even more mucho anti-freeze, so I'm on the lookout for a new motor that I can rebuild without destroying my wallet in the midst of trying to find a new home, lol.

As a side thought...I've been offered a set of "300" heads, claimed to be from a 327, not sure of the year, but likely to be pre-86. Claimed to have nice large valves in them, just not sure about the person claiming all this and since I've been out of Chevy's for so long I can't remember. Does anyone know what this person is claiming? and is there a way for me to confirm this??
I'm looking for a 350 4 bolt main that is rebuildable, from there I should be able to handle the rest, unless someone has parts that they can spare. I'm hoping to have this next motor rebuilt and in the car by the next time I get deployed overseas(for the 4th time, grr).

Hmmm...never heard of "300" Chevy heads, and neither has Google...327s were last made in 1968, so I'm not sure that would be the right application for what you're looking for...in theory they would work as they're basically 350 heads, but if you want to stay FI, I'd go another direction...if you go with a carb, and the price is right and they're in good shape, go for it...
