  • I'm a little slow, but here I am

Joined in August, but never posted an introduction as a new member. I'm still learning my way around this site. I own a 1968 Firebird convertible. Oringally found this site by looking for Woodward Dream Cruise photos, and I saw that a photo of my car was posted on this site. I've owned my car for September of 2004. Vehicle sat for about 20 years before I bought it off of my wife's cousin. Got the car running the first night that it was brought home. Put 2 new quarter skins on and a new truck lid and painted it up. Drove it for that next summer without having to do anything to the engine. Finally had to rebuild it in 2007, but had it ready for that summer. It is a numbers matching car. Has the original 400 motor, which I left stock when it was rebuilt, ok I beefed up the cam a little, but other than that it stayed stock. Had to replace 2 pistons and the cam. Had 2 lobes completely wore down. Little by little, it's coming together. I've posted a few photos, and also, was lucky enough to make it in the calendar for February. Thanks.

It is black. Tried to go with as close to the original color of starlight black as they make.
