I have rear seats should you need them. I'd keep lookin, George probably dogged the crap out of his car.

I wouldn't doubt that the car has problems, take it for a spin. If you happen to like the way it drives then low ball him like mad or make him fix what is wrong with it already. There are always more cars out there so don't be afraid to walk away.

I agree. If its having overheating issues and is in rough shape and missing seats which could run several hundreds of dollars if bought new. I had a similiar situation a few years back. I was taking a Grand Am GT for a spin and I drove like 5 miles and had to pull over because the gauges were close to redlining. I am not a racer, I don't tend to push my cars except once in a great while just to make sure everything is there. I told the guy to fix the problem and I'd buy it. He said he wouldn't and I left. If you really like this car, borrow it and take it to a couple of mechanics. Have them give you possible problems, diagnoses, and prices for the job. Armed with these you can go back and negotiate with him for a better price. I can see the situations from both sides of the sale but you don't want pay a lot for a car that was abused. It will end up costing you big $$$. Just keep an eye out. There are a lot of fbodies for sale. I'll post some when I find them.

P.S. I think Blackbird has a 93-97 Trans Am in nice shape. Ask him the price. I think it was like $5000-7000 range. Lots of mods.

Yeah! Welcome! I know you can get a good deal somewhere. Look at me! I upgraded from a 180,000 mile wrecked Blazer to a 260,000 mile V6 Camaro for less than $1,500! I know of a couple of wrecked F-Bodies of you aren't afraid to do some bodywork or have it done for you. . .
