Thank You!! My Son & I Apprecite It!!!
                  Sorry so long!!
Oh yeah I plan on being around for awhile And this is how I got here! My son when he got Deployed went online and bought and built his Mustang, (he has never sat in his car) He ordered all the parts and I did all the work. Well that Re-Ignited the Old Muscle Car Guy in Me! I cruised Woodward Ave in the early 70's with older Bro and in the late 70's on my own! Well I'm not really a Mustang Guy so I set out to find a 20+ year old camaro after a couple days I came across this 87 Z-28 that had been sitting about 2 1/2 years, I Asked the lady how much she said $450 I said SOLD!!! I took it home replaced the fuel pump and lines, cleaned the fuel tank put in new gas lines and new brake lines and brakes, Drained all the fluids including rear end lube and refilled with fresh, put in all new filters, shot some penetrating oil in each cylynder, then tuned it up and it purrs like a kitten with no leaks and no smoke except the tires tend to smoke a little LOL!! My 16 year old Daughter and I are making it into a street machine that rides on a rail and is quick outta the hole!! I talked to the mechanic that used to work on the car! He told me that before the guy that owned it died he had the motor and tranny rebuilt and told me it was worth at least 3 times what I paid, It need's minor rear floorpan work and rear quarters!!!
My Son will be home on leave here in a couple weeks so he will be able to enjoy his car and we might get some track time in at Ubly Dragway!!
                  Thanks For The Support!!
                  Jeff T.

Welcome to the site, Jeff! Thanks for allowing your son to serve in the Marines, and thank you for all the emotions that I'm sure you've had to endure with him being over in Iraq. Welcome again to the site, and awesome project vehicle!

Awesome story, too! I absolutely love reading stories on how people got their vehicles.
