  • New to the site.... Not to Fbody's

Hey my fellow Fbody owners. I currently own a 1997 Pontiac TransAm with a 6 speed gear box and the LT1 engine. I have lots of bolt on mods that you can all check out at my cardomain site. Before the T/A I owned a 1988 Firebird that was very slow. I however learned alot on that car. I enjoy trying to make my LT1 fast and drag racing at least once a month at Martin. I should have a set of Torque Thrust 2 rims and sticky tires in a month or two. However I spent most of that money down in Panama on spring break. I am also a member at michiganspeed.com and fbody.com.

Hey Eric! Welcome the the mifbody family. Glad you made it over! This site has some really great people and great times. Post often to keep up and try to make to the meet and greet or if possible there are usually weekly or biweekly unofficial gettogethers around Detroit. I'll see you around!

I live in the GR area so driving to far is out of the question with work and classes. I'm also kinda poor right now so gas is a problem for distance driving. I do however plan on attending a few large fbody events. I haven't got around to checking the events yet but I will soon.

Welcome to the site, Eric! We're a pretty "close knit" "family feeling" group of people, but we're always welcoming more members into the family. Being in GR, there might not be as many unofficial get togethers, but once things settle down with Jasen (Orange_Terror) I think he was volunteered to organize some get togethers in the GR area just so everything isn't all in the Detroit area. Hard to keep it fair for everyone when it's the whole state and not just city specific, but as long as we get some people that are willing to step up to the plate and organize, it should all work smoothly. In any case, our first major meet & greet is at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township (about 30-45 minutes north of Detroit) and it should be a good event if you can make it out. You'd probably be able to meet up with some MiFbody members in GR and then caravan together to the event, trust me that's a hell of a good time cruising with a bunch of other fbodies to an event. Anyway, check out the Member Garage section, you can create your own cardomain-like page on the site and upload some pics and such. It's a cool feature, and it's all integrated with the site. Also, since you take it to the track, check out the Timeslip database and add your own.

Dyno shop in Middleville??? Can't wait for it to get warm enough to take off the t-tops and do some cruzin downtown G.R. I need to get my rear main seal leak fixed a T/A girdle new fluid and little things ready for mid April before I can go to the track. Hopefully some of you guy's can give me some pointers on racing. I'm trying to get into the low 13's this year. Maybe even play around with lt1 edit and get my tune a little better.
