  • Let me introduce my self since I am new.

Fist off my name is Sean and my F body is an 81 Firebird Trans Am. It is black with tan interior, T tops, all decals are stripped, and was originally a 301 Turbo car. My mother bought the car new in 81 and I bought it from her at age 17, even though I have been driving it since age 16. When I received it, it had 56,000 miles on it and now has 77,000 miles on it. So that is 21,000 miles in 18 years of ownership, I will be 35 soon. Since I have owned it I had it repainted back in 91 and the paint still looks pretty good. a couple years ago I decided to make my car faster. So I built a 383 SBC and backed it with a rebuilt Turbo 350 tranny with shift kit and 2800 stahl converter. I am almost done with it. The only thing major left to do is tune the car. I may end up asking some questions on this site so stay tuned.

If you want details about the build I will gladly post them other wise I think this post is long enough.

I still have all the numbers matching parts stored away so if I want to put everything back to original. There is nothing I did that i can't undo.

Hey, Sean, glad to see you were able to get on! Sorry about that security token issue -- the new version of the forum software that we just upgraded to over the past weekend has a lot tighter security, but with tighter security comes issues here and there

Anyway, welcome to the site and awesome story on the car! We're a pretty social and friendly group here, so feel free to post as much as you'd like and visit often. If you run into any issues or need anything, feel free to shoot me a private message or e-mail.
