    Hey from Traverse city

    Hi, my names Kerry, and I'm just otta high school. Right now I drive a 98' Mercury Tracer. It's been a good first car but I really want something better. I was in the auto program at the Tech center here and worked over at precision tune this last winter so I'm pretty car-literate!

    I joined this site in hopes of finding a firebird to buy. My mom had a '80 Firebird Spree when I was little but sold it before I could stop her. I'm looking for a V6 from the early 90's, preferably a 91 or 92. I like the more rounded front with the 80's tail. Something that runs but that I can work on too. my price range is around $1800. If you have something like this for sale PLEASE pm or email me! I'm wiling to drive anywhere in Michigan.

    fyi 3rd gen V6's ('82-92) are slow slow slow slow, pretty sure your tracer could beat one.

      get what you like - thats really whats important

      i would recommend craigslist detroit - it always seems to have lots of 3rd gens - you may want to consider an 8 only cause mpg wont be much worse and overall is a better engine both performance and mechanically speaking

        to the site!! I grew up in Glen Lake and attended the Auto Body class at TBA , love it up there!! Good luck on your search.

          I drove a 92 V6 the other day. I thought it went pretty good. Nothing is slower than my tracer, except my friends 94 Cavi. I've been looking around craigslist, no one will email me back! Thanks for the replies though!

          I'm lookin at these two. Hopefully I'll get to check em out this weekend.

                          Do people still cruise around downtown TC?? That was the thing to do Fri-Sat nights when I was growing up!!

                              I don't think there are any organized cruises that I know of. Culvers(on 31 near Chums Corner) has a car night, but I think that's either a monday or tuesday. I'll have to patrol downtown one of these nights to find out.
