I found this site looking for information and details around the 1994 ZX1 Camaro and it looks like i have a lot to wander thru. I don't own a Camaro but i have had the chance to work on a few. I did see an oddity not long ago a hot little black 1994 Camaro convertible with Badges inside and in the engine compartment stating it was number one of the ZX1's built that year. Thats what brought me here. I hope i can find the info that will guench my thirst for information on this beast.

Sounds like some weird one off thing. I've never heard of a ZX1 Camaro. Do you have any more information on it?

I dont know that there were more than 10 made i think it was more like 4 . It was written in one magazine as a prototype of the anniversary model that was coming in the next few years. I will dig out some photos i took and post them in the next few days at my garage along with the stats i can remember.

                    Welcome and enjoy the site!

Well, it's probably not an official RPO code.

ZX1 is currently for a single high backed driver seat, usually in commercial trucks, and was also used for the Monza Mirage option back in 1977.

But ZX1 has also been used as an Export Procedure code (starting in 1970), indicating that an overseas leasing company ordered the car. If the leasing company does not have direct import capability into their country, ZX1 gets applied and the car is shipped to a US intermediary dealership who has the ability to export to that country.

                    Nothing recent though.
