  • Hello from Chicagoland

Hi there. Just joined up last night, figure I would say hi. My name is Wes, aka Mogob, I frequent CV6.com quite often, and had gotten word about this place from 97rs4life, so I figure I would join and see whats going on here on the Michigan board. So far, im really impressed with the setup this message board has, and I look forward to contributing what I can.

    Wes

Thanks for the kind words on the site, Wes. Welcome to our little piece of the internet, and hope you enjoy visiting here and post often. We're a pretty friendly group of people that can be really social. We don't have as much tech here, mostly just socializing, but that's what we're here for... meet fellow enthusiasts and chat. In any case, post some pics of your Firebird!

Im pretty much a realist, so I don't post alot of show quality pics of my car....well, that and I lost them..lol. But I do have this one, with it being worked on. Its not much to look at right now, but its coming along. I have a few problems with it now that keep it off the road, but in the future, this car won't be on the road much anyway.

Again, not much to look at now, but its in a constant state of repair till future plans say otherwise. I have alot of plans coming for it within the next two years or so, just a matter of money and time to work on it.

Right now, some electrical problem that I cannot figure out. Of course, it would be easier if the car were here in Chicago with me, instead of still being in Indianapolis. My first guess is a bad contact in the ignition switch, I think it might be touching the START contact along with the RUN contact in the switch, because it acts like its starting while im driving it. I can feel the fuel pump relay clicking like a typewriter under my foot while I drive, which can't be a good thing. But as soon as I get the car here, I plan on doing some more work to it.

Work. I was accepted into the IBEW Local 134 apprenticeship several months ago, good pay and benefits, definitely couldn't pass it up. Its good to finally have a career after all the crappy jobs Ive had in the past. GREAT place to live really, little expensive, but still nice.
